Jeff was born near Columbus, Ohio and then moved to North Louisiana where he attended high school and received a calling to the ministry through his local Southern Baptist Church.  He attended Louisiana Tech University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. He met his wife, Kris, in college and shortly after graduation; they were married. Jeff and Kris then moved to Fort Worth, Texas to begin formal ministry training at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He graduated in December 1992 with a Master of Music degree from the School of Church Music.

Jeff joined the staff of First Baptist Church, Dickson in July of 2023.  After serving for many years as a Worship Pastor in Chattanooga, TN, Jeff is excited to be a part of this great church; and is thrilled to lead this dynamic worship ministry. His heart is to see the Lord lifted up and for God’s people to experience a growing relationship with Him through the ministry of music and worship.

Jeff and Kris have three adult children: Paige, Libby, and Ben.
